Nostalgia Antique and Thrift - Ely, MN
FINALLY this place was open! Nostalgia was frustratingly locked up my first two trips near Ely. This year fortunately we were up at family camp in June instead of mid-late August, and while talking to the owner, found out that he's been closing down in early August
There's a LOT to love about Nostalgia on the main drag of downtown Ely. A mixture of collectables, oddball items, art, and antiques . . . but not quite veering into hoity toity fancy schmancy pinky-up when you drink tea antiques. Prices are super reasonable, and if you can't find SOMETHING here you'd like or need, you probably suck
Down a short set of stairs is a mostly vintage clothing area . . .
There's also a respectable music area . . .
We found some treasures. Among others, Care Bear figures, and a set of four pristine Pizza Hut Care Bear glasses from 1983. They'd probably been sitting in some old ladies display case for 40 years, and at $18, we couldn't buy them fast enough :D
