Ely Public Library - Ely, MN
Special stained glass, gallery worthy art . . . plus it's a jungle in there . . .
In Ely, it's worth taking an intentional little meander off the strip to visit the Ely Public Libray. Why? Well . . .
Check out the stained glass installations . . .
Check out fantastic art
And check out all the plants that have been accumulated / inheireted. It's seem like a repository of plants that needed homes after their elderly care givers passed away
As it happened, we were there because this spring our daugher and I have started to make a point of stopping in local libraries on trips. She'd check out a pile of books to read on said trip; return them on our way out. The Wheaton MN Community Library, the Bayport Public Library on a Hudson weekend, and most recently the Ely Public Library, which was special in it's own way
The place is worth popping in for a gander, even if you have no intentions of picking up books. Stop on by
