Frisky Otter Pub & Eatery - Ely, MN

The Frisky Otter in Ely, MN.  A friendly well run joint, where the owner was present, and frankly looking for things to do in vain because her restaurant is well staffed and trained.  All the food was good, service was great, and they had kid menus / crayons to keep the kiddo entertained.  I'd go back if I was up that way. A couple bevs to start.  A bloody and a snit for the lady; a refreshing yet weak Cucumber Lime Martini.  Definitely not a "Minnesota Pour"

Their Patty Melt. I originally asked for it on the rarer side of medium rare. The waitress and the lady both looked at me like I was speaking Sigur Rós. So I went rare, and it was a perfect rare. The onion rings were bag frozen Sysco, nothing special

Walleye Basket with a side of fruit (you can see from the cup that the kid started to immediately demolish). A couple of really nice pieces of fish, battered and fried properly

A very nice looking Field Greens Salad. Nothing special but a notch above standard and well plated

An especially cool painting above the bar
