Road to Green Bay - Bonduel 4th of July Trip Round-up

4th of July Weekend in Bonduel, Wisconsin!

Check out below for links to the six full posts . . . but first . . .

The lady made this lovely fruit tray, I might add

We roadtripped to visit family this summer.  The Village of Bonduel (pop 1,417) holds an annual 4th of July event that draws in crowds to the point that the larger nearby Shawano (pop 9,243) holds their 4th Firewords on the 3rd.  Celebrate Bonduel has a festival that includes a long parade, live music, dancing, food stands, ball games, kids inflatables, and fireworks at night (which I watch sitting in the big front window of my parent's house because the mosquitoes are always effing ridiculous).  Links to pics at the Celebrate Bonduel FB . . . Parade . . . Festival

I don't know who sent and took this pic, but it wasn't me.  Thank you to them - MZ

The pièce de résistance is the annual kids bike raffle.  This year about 140 bikes . . . yes, ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTY.  No fee to enter, just sign your kid up and you have to be there when they read your name.  And yes, the kiddo DID win one of the bikes.  So fun watching the lady and kid when her name was FINALLY announced

Thanks to those remembering John Reinke Sr
