Music of 2025
2025 was a good year for music in the Tundra . . .
A little goal of mine last year was to hit twelve concerts. I love seeing live music, and one show a month seemed reasonable. Well, I hit twelve
Most of the shows were probably $30 or less. A couple were "free" through a First Ave membership. I didn't start the membership until October so, maybe a dozen and a half shows this year is a good goal?
Two of my favorite shows were a couple of young bands, Winyah from the South Carolina coast, and the Old Mervs, a couple of kids from Perth Australia. Catch them while you still can
And from my beloved AZ, I try to never miss a Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers show
As for day to day music listening . . . while we do use the record player, especially over the winter holidays, and CDs in the car and garage, most listening takes place via Apple Music. They do a lite recap of what you listened to over the previous month. Was interesting each month. Usually I knew what was going to be in the Top Ten, but there were surprises. Nine Inch Nails came out on top for the year mainly because their Tron Soundtrack made excellent music to work to (Haven't seen the movie and can't say I plan to)
