The Village Pizzeria of Dresser - Dresser, WI
Ya know, I wrote up my usual long winded detailed post, and I decided to scratch it. Not worth the effort, it's only going to come across snarky, and frankly the place simply is what it is. Don't expect more. Expect exactly what you expect of "Italian & American Cuisine" in the Heartland from a US Sysco Foods reefer truck (Btw, there's no shortage of places like this in the Twin Cities either). They have a staggering 80+ menu items BEFORE you even get to pizza. Eight salads for christsakes, with nine dressing options. Sixteen individual appetizer options (all but two of them fried). From the Specials Board tack on another salad, another fried app, another pasta, another steak, two more soups, and a Fish Fry. Gordon Ramsay would give birth
That said, staff was friendly, though wiping down our table with a wet rag and not drying it off . . . putting our napkins/silverwear and menus down on the wetness, so we had to peel the menus off the table like sweaty thighs on a vinyl seat . . . to have to dry said table and the menus ourselves . . . was unpleasant to put it kindly. As was a complete lack of overhead music, which became more and more noticeable as the place emptied out
But our kiddo left pleased as punch. I ate some of the leftovers cold in the hotel room at 2 in the morning when I couldn't sleep during a wild thunder storm. And I wouldn't be opposed to ordering a delivery pizza if it came down to it. So there ya go. Here's a picture dump
